Julian Bellamy is Managing Director of ITV Studios, one of the leading independent producers and distributors in the world; the largest producer in the UK and one of the largest independent producer of non scripted shows in America. ITV Studios is part of ITV PLC.
The Studios Group has production bases in 13 countries, with over 60 production labels making close to 7,000 hours of original programming every year. This includes hit series like, Mr Bates Vs The Post Office, My Mum Your Dad, Vigil, Queer Eye, One Piece, Gomorrah, Paris Police 1905; The Voice, Love Island and the upcoming Franklin for Apple and Rivals for Disney+.
Julian joined ITV from Discovery Networks International where, as Creative Director and Head of Commissioning, he ran production and development across 200 countries, with commissioning teams in five international bases. He was previously Head of Channel 4 managing over 2000 hours of original programming a year including Undercover Boss, One Born Every Minute and This is England.
Julian is also a former Head of E4 and BBC3 Channel Controller.
He began his career as a current affairs producer/director working on ITV’s World in Action and The Big Story and Channel 4’s Dispatches.
