The National Film & Television School is coming to Haverfordwest. Join us at Pembrokeshire College on Friday 17th May for a day of insight and information all about some of the creative careers behind the camera in Film & TV.

There will be two sessions delivered by current NFTS Students - both with experience of creating & delivering workshops and sessions designed to give you insights into their creative practices and what goes on behind the scenes in their respective roles.

You can choose to attend as many sessions as interest you and ask as many questions as you can think of. Use the drop down menu on the order form to select the sessions you would like to attend.

 

09:45 - 11:15 The Fundamentals of Voice Over, with Conor Riley

Whether its Attenborough describing footage of a lion hunting impala, or the legendary Nancy Cartwright voicing everyone’s favourite 10-year-old underachiever, voice over artists are bringing scenes to life with emotion, imagination, and humour. In this workshop, students will dive into the world of voice over and learn the basics of voice acting and narration.

 

11:30 -13:00 What is an Assistant Director?, with Parvathy Ramesh 

In Parvathy's session you will learn about the exciting and largely unknown role of Assistant Directors - what they do, why they are critical to every production and what skills you need to kick-start a successful career in film / TV production..
