Ann Kutzer and Richard Henley are current students at NFTS, studying Production design. During this whole day session Anna and Richard will talk about their course and the experiences they have had, including their work placement on the set of the upcoming film release of Cats. As well as talking about their experiences they will show examples of work from students at the NFTS and from Cats itself. After this initial talk they will then run a hands on workshop. Learning how Art Departments make their scale models for set design. Using a painting as reference, attendees will work in teams to construct a 1/4” - 1’0” scale model of the painting and make it as close to the reference as possible.
Ann and Richard will also be joined by Tim Hutchinson. Tim is both Bafta and Oscar nominated and is credited on a diverse catalogue of work including TV shows Poirot and The Likely Lads and films such as Highlander, Victor/Victoria and Mansfield Park.
The session will run from 10am - 5.30 pm. Only 20 places are available on the full day event.
Additional tickets are available for the initial talk from 10.00-11.30.
Registration is from 9.30am. Refreshments will be served on arrival and lunch will be provided to attendees staying for the whole day. Please highlight any dietary requirements by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
There is a £5 fee for both the presentation and workshop elements of the day, payable upon booking.
