Huge congratulations to recent NFTS Directing Documentary graduate, Adda Elling and team whose graduation documentary, Playhouse will have its world premiere at this year’s Sheffield Doc Fest, recognised as one of the most important documentary festivals on the circuit. The film will be shown as part of the festival's Doc/Love strand.
Adda’s film will be in great company with Asif Kapadia’s highly anticipated documentary on Diego Maradona opening the festival and talks from the likes of Werner Herzog, Stacey Dooley and Nick Hornby.
Playhouse is a dive into the absurd world of two female lovers, as they experiment with notions of power and representation, playfully alternating between who is in charge and creating a film within the film.
