We caught up with Digital Content Entrepreneur and Senior Tutor on the NFTS Creative Business for Entrepreneurs and Executives MA, Alex Connock to find out why he believes entrepreneurship is an important ingredient for success in all parts of the creative industries. Alex discusses this and his passion for the Creative Business for Entrepreneurs and Executives MA in the following video:
Alex has a long career in digital content and entrepreneurship and has been shortlisted an incredible six times for entrepreneur of the year and is entrepreneur in residence at the European business school, INSEAD. He created and ran TV and digital video group Ten Alps with Bob Geldof, which ran the pioneering Teachers TV channel for the government and made hundreds of TV documentaries for UK and international broadcasters.
For the past five years he grew Manchester-based Endemol Shine North from the ground up into a thriving factual TV and digital video production company producing programmes for BBC, Channel 4 Discovery and National Geographic amongst others. He has also been head of video at global hit social video site The LADbible and his new company, Missile, is focussed on audience-specific targeting of digital and social video.
