Two of our 2018 Directing Animation MA graduation films have been selected for Annecy, the world's leading animation film festival, which takes place from the 11th to the 16th June!

Facing It directed by Sam Gainsborough and Inanimate directed by Lucia Bulgheroni are both selected in the ‘Graduation Films in Competition’ category.

Inanimate synopsis: Katrine has a normal life, a normal job, a normal boyfriend and a normal apartment in a normal city. That's what she thinks until one day everything starts falling apart.

Facing It synopsis: As Sean waits anxiously in the local pub, he is forced to explore his own unhappy memories and relationships in an evening that will leave him changed forever.

Sam Gainsborough said of his film’s selection: "It's so exciting to be selected for Annecy. It's a wonderful festival in such a beautiful place. The whole team worked extremely hard for the last year to complete our film Facing It and we can't wait to see it screened at such a prestigious festival!"
