Do you have the potential to make the jump into directing High End TV Drama?
We are proud to announce the release of our FREE Director Stepping Up Programme for High End TV, commissioned by Creative Skillset, a 10 month programme to encourage diverse representation in the High End TV (HETV) industry, bringing on the next generation of talent.
We are looking for 9 talented individuals who are currently working as Directors (in continuing UK drama/factual or comedy) and seeking a move into HETV drama, and for 1 person specifically from childrens drama.
As one of our 10 successful applicants you will undertake an intense 10 month programme of individual training, coaching and mentoring allowing you to rapidly develop your career confidence in today's HETV industry whilst also building on your directing skills.
The ten month programme will start in February 2018, ending December 2018 and will be led by John Chapman (National Treasure; Good Karma Hospital)
The programme will kick off with a 5 day immersive bootcamp for the group as a whole – sessions will focus on building and honing directing skills and you will gain a wide ranging insight into the HETV side of the industry.
Participants will be matched with a mentor for the duration of the initiative, and will be allocated sessions with a career coach.
Each participant will be able to access a dedicated bespoke training pot to meet their specific training needs and to attend additional courses and events between March and the close of the initiative.
In addition to the above there will also be up to 3 x week long work placements (paid) on HETV current programmes/projects.
At the end of the programme there is the opportunity to pitch to an industry panel with the successful participant being offered a chance to direct an HETV drama project with New Pictures
