NFTS Grads Win Big at Rhode Island Film Festival!

First Prize for Best Short Animation Goes to Poles Apart & The Full Story

NFTS graduation animation, Poles Apart, directed and written by Paloma Baeza and produced by Ser En Low, has been awarded first prize at this year’s Rhodes Island International Film Festival. The prize was jointly awarded to The Full Story, which is directed by recent NFTS Directing Animation graduate, Daisy Jacobs.

Poles Apart synopsis:

Poles Apart tells the story of an unlikely meeting between Nanuk, a tough female polar bear, and Aklak, an enthusiastic male grizzly bear, brought together by their changing habitats.
