ScreenSkills Digital Effects: VFX, Graphics and Titles Training in association with NFTS Scotland

This introductory course will introduce participants to the concepts of working with motion graphics and VFX in Adobe After Effects, and move them to the next level of confidence and skill to create amazing motion graphics and produce smooth animations and special effects in a professional environment.

Through practical exercises participants will get to grips with:

The After Effects interface
Animation
Layers
Effects
Text Layers
Keying
Working with 3D
And more

This course is suitable for participants interested in a career in post-production, visual and/or digital effects, or are at an early stage in their post-production career.

Experience working with 2D graphics and Adobe software such as Photoshop will be beneficial

About the tutor

Graphics Operations Manager at BBC Scotland, Craig Caddis has been producing quality design since 1990. He has worked on a variety of successful programmes and has been the manager of BBC Design Scotland for 10 years with a team of 20 designers. He brings exceptional attention to detail and great experience. His recent work includes designing graphics for BBC Sounds, BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Music Introducing, Radio 1, Radio 2, Match of the Day, The Nine, Disclosure and Panorama.

Fees for this course are as follows:

Freelance Rate: £150

As this course fee is supported by ScreenSkills, additional bursaries are not available for this course.
