Cinema 4D is a professional 3D modeling, animation, simulation and rendering software solution. Its fast, powerful, flexible and stable toolset make 3D workflows more accessible and efficient for design, motion graphics, VFX, AR/MR/VR, game development and all types of visualization professionals.

This online course, delivered via Zoom, covers: 

How to Model, Texture, Light, Animate and Render 3D objects and scenes in Cinema 4D.

The Cinema 4D interface and how the software operates, how to create edit and manage projects.

The principles behind 3D – how models are constructed and the various tools involved in this process.

How to use Materials and surfaces, colours and textures to make objects appear more realistic or to create any visual style.

The use of lighting, the different methods of lighting a scene as well as creating an environment for your objects and characters.

How to create and animate Cameras to move the viewer through the world that you've made.

The many ways of creating animation in Cinema 4D, using keyframes to easily animate anything within your scene in any way you desire.

Rendering – making your scene into a completed media file and adjusting the renderer to give different looks and visual styles.

By the end of this course, each participant should be comfortable with the interface and have an idea of all the basic concepts of 3D.

They should be able to model, texture, light and render a complete 3D Project as well as have a good understanding of the processes needed to create animated 3D sequences.

About the tutor: 

Wolf Winter started as a programmer and moved into 3D animation then 2D animation, motion graphics, compositing and editing. He has spent over 30 years mainly in the film and broadcast television industries, and now works freelance as a production artist, educator and lecturer.
