Overview
Delivered in the NFTS Scotland Virtual Classroom, accessed via Zoom. Designed to shed light on working as an editor in Film and TV today, Colin Monie will talk you through some of his most relevant experiences including the benefits and pitfalls of editing remotely and how to approach it with confidence. Colin has worked in cutting rooms for over thirty years and has been fortunate to collaborate with many interesting and diverse filmmakers cutting over thirty feature films. These have included Deepa Mehta's Oscar nominated 'Water', Peter Mullan's Venice, Discovery winning 'The Magdalene Sisters' and David Mackenzie's Silver Bear winning Hallam Foe. Amongst his documentary work is Felipe Bustos Sierra's 'Nae Pasaran', Virginia Heath's 'From Scotland with Love' and Maja Borg's 'Future My Love'. Colin has also worked in TV drama cutting shows as diverse as multi award winner 'Cops', 'Shetland' and 'Guilt' and has found himself a supervising editor on both documentary and fiction feature films including last years Tribeca winning 'Scheme Birds'.
