Short course

Delivered online via Zoom

Actors and directors have horror stories of auditions that went badly – humiliation, dashed hopes and horrible misunderstandings seem to be par for the course – and that’s from both sides of the camera. Worst of all directors don’t get the right cast for their projects.

So what can be done to get the most out of the process for everyone involved? How do you leave the actor feeling valued and your project well cast? Award-winning director and producer Michael Hines has run well over 500 auditions in his career to date. In this 2-hour session, aimed at directors in drama, he will share his tips for what works, what doesn’t and how to get the right person for the part. There are many ways to run and audition, Michael will take you through one way that will work for what you need.
