Overview

Delivered online via Zoom on Monday 25th May (10.00 - 12.00) and Friday 29th May (10.00 - 12.00)

Virtual Classroom Essentials for the Screen Sector is designed to help you quickly transition your existing training programmes to virtual delivery. Participants will gain an insight into best practice approaches for the design and delivery of interactive and engaging live classroom sessions, and gain first-hand experience of the virtual classroom environment. This fully online, practical course is delivered over two sessions in a week using a blend of online resources, virtual classroom and social learning.

Participants will be actively working on designing their own Virtual Classroom during the programme.

Areas covered include:

• Fundamentals of instructional design for Virtual Classrooms

• Creating your Virtual Classroom storyboard

• Virtual Classroom interactive tools

• Preparing for your Virtual Classroom

• Facilitating a Virtual Classroom

• Virtual Classroom software and technology

This online course is aimed at tutors and individuals working in the screen sectors who are interested in delivering their content online.

John Kilroy is the Managing Director in Flex Labs, Harvest's Digital Learning division. His role is to partner with our clients to create world-class and leading-edge learning experiences for their people. He has over fifteen years' of experience in Learning and Development. His passion and expertise are in eLearning, social learning, game-based learning and project management.

His qualifications include a Master’s Degree in eLearning (MSc) from Dublin Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Project Management (MBS) from the Smurfit Business School, UCD.
