The NFTS, in partnership with WarnerMedia/WarnerMediaAccess and Netflix, are delighted to be hosting a series of free taster workshops across the UK in September.
The taster sessions will be taking place in various locations UK wide, covering Manchester, Cardiff, Bristol, London and Glasgow. Join us on our tour with Gemma Nicholson of Post-Super.com, who leads the Post Production Supervision Certificate at the NFTS, for an informative day learning about this fundamental area of the industry and the exciting roles within it.
Post Production Supervisors manage the post process, ensuring there is a clear channel of communication between the director, producer and all post crew and facilities. These roles include picture, sound and music editorial, re-recording mixers, DI colourists and picture post, VFX, composers, music supervisors and title companies. The post supervisor is responsible for the budget, liaising closely with the accountant, and for creating the post schedule, making sure the production meets its deadlines.
Our upcoming free taster events will be a chance to learn more about Post Production Supervision and to experience a day comprising of three complimentary sessions, to see if a career in Post is something you would like to pursue.
The three sessions will cover:
10:00am – 12:00pm: What is a Post Production Supervisor, and what is their role in the Post Production process of a film or high end TV show?
1:00pm – 3:00pm: What is the basic workflow for Post Production?
4:00pm – 6:00pm: What are the basics of delivery for Post Production?
If you are interested in a career within Post Production Supervision, don’t miss your chance to find out more about this exciting, in demand area of the industry and how you can get into it.
