The Great British Film, Television & Games Event - Striving for Diversity Nirvana

In support of the National Film and Television School

To those who were involved with the Gala on 18th June 2014 at Old Billingsgate, London:

Thank you so much for supporting the NFTS Gala 2014 by taking a table, donating an auction or bidding in the auction. Thank you also for those who made a pledge on the night.   I hope you and your guests enjoyed the evening.

Your support has helped raise £220,000 for the NFTS and our students.  Because of your generosity, prospective students from every background have the chance to come and learn at the NFTS and work with us to prepare themselves for a successful career in the film, television and games industries.

Funds are of course vital to the School, but equally important are our profile and reputation. The powerful and compelling contributions made by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Sajid Javid, Lenny Henry, Baroness Floella Benjamin and HRH the Prince of Wales helped re-affirm the crucial role that the NFTS plays in educating and preparing students for the creative industries at the highest possible standard. It also endorsed the absolute relevance of our efforts to strive for more diversity in the School as well as in the industry as a whole in order to embrace and reflect the world in which we live, and give us the chance to represent the creativity, concerns and values of all people.
