Our credits tell the story.

in support of the National Film and Television School

on Tuesday 27th June 2017 at Old Billingsgate, London

Sponsored by

Join Mike Newell (renowned director of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Donnie Brasco and Great Expectations) and Sue Vertue (influential producer of The Vicar of Dibley, Mr Bean, Sherlock, Coupling and Gimme Gimme Gimme) for an inspiring and dazzling celebration of the success and achievements of home grown talent across the creative industries, under the theme ‘Great British Directors’.

Last year the gala raised £300,000 for the NFTS, ensuring that we can continue to offer the talent of the future the best possible creative education, facilities and support, regardless of their background or circumstances. As well as supporting the everyday activities of the school, money raised has also enabled us to kick start initiatives such as workshops for female directors and continuing support for graduating students.

The event will include:

  • a pre-dinner drinks reception on the terrace overlooking the River Thames, sponsored by Belvedere Vodka, followed by a delicious three course dinner with coffee and petit fours, all-inclusive wine, beer and soft drinks.
  • a fantastic pre-dinner musical performance and a special guest host for the evening.
  • the chance to bid on exclusive money-can’t buy items in the live and silent auctions.
  • The ever-popular quiz, sponsored by IMDb.

The NFTS Gala is also supported by:

Where your money goes

All funds raised will go directly to the NFTS – registered charity (313429).  Funds will support scholarships, student film and showmakers and games developers, capital development plans and teaching at the NFTS and help with our efforts to provide even more courses and give the opportunity for all talented young people to come to the NFTS whatever their gender or circumstances.

Now more than ever, the School relies on the backing of its supporters to invest in the next generation of talent so we can continue to create the very best graduates in the world.
