Unveiling the Magic: Celebrate World VFX Day with the NFTS!

The National Film and Television School is excited to join a collective of visual effects studios, organisations and professionals to celebrate World VFX Day on Friday 8th December. The day will shine a spotlight on this vital sector of the industry that empowers filmmakers to visualise stories beyond the realms of imagination.

The work behind visual effects (VFX) in film and television remains a mystery to many and the multitude of career paths available in this field also go unrecognised by those looking to enter the industry or those with transferable skills from other specialisms - but VFX Day aims to change that!

VFX at the National Film and Television School has been an integral part of the curriculum for over 15 years, with pathways that have evolved into highly specialised courses that provide our students with industry-standard, practical training. By collaborating with fellow students on other courses from cinematography to production management, students get unrivalled experience of what it’s like to work on a real set and how to effectively communicate VFX requirements throughout the production process.
