The NFTS was established by the Government to be the UK’s ‘national’ film and television school, a centre of excellence to develop the talent that will shape Britain’s cultural life and fuel the worldwide success of the UK creative industries.
“We are hugely indebted to those who, year in and year out, continue to support the School, including the DCMS, BFI, Office for Students, Channel 4, BBC, Sky, ITV, the Film Distributors Association and UK Cinema Association. As well as more than 80 annual scholarship donors, trusts and foundations. Thank you. By supporting the NFTS you are embracing those qualities that make our school and our industry so special.” NFTS Director Jon Wardle in his BAFTA acceptance speech
It is a role we take very seriously. We care about the future of the industry we are part of: the stories that get told and the voices that get heard.
That is why those who work in film, TV and games see us as such a valuable part of their industries – and why so many individuals, companies and organisations are active supporters of the School. The NFTS is indebted to those who support our work, many of whom have supported the School for the majority of its existence.
