11:00 - 12:00 Documentary Filmmaking & Storytelling with Miranda Stern

What makes a good story? Is it different for everyone or are there some universal rules? What are those rules when it comes to story/structure/narrative? Is there power in breaking those rules? And how do you even go about making a documentary?

In this session, award-winning documentary filmmaker, Miranda Stern (CLEAN, Best Short at Glasgow Short Film Festival) will look at the power of storytelling in documentaries. She’ll take you through the process of taking your idea and turning it into a finished film and showing us that we can do all this with the readily available tech we already have in our hands and at our disposal.
