Alyson is a cinematographer with over 10 years of professional experience in the film and creative industries. Her diverse career includes roles as a producer, gardening teacher, and owner of a plant-based food manufacturing company. Her unconventional journey has been underpinned by a consistent pursuit to capture each chapter on camera.
Originally from Bermuda, she draws constant inspiration from the colourful landscape and people of her Island home. Recent credits include “Following Harry”, a documentary about Harry Belafonte which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. Her film “These are the People in my Neighbourhood", shot during the COVID-19 lockdown, was selected for the Oscar qualifying Bermuda International Film Festival and exhibited at the Masterworks Museum of Arts as part of the Charman Prize exhibition.
In recognition of her achievements, Alyson was named an American Society of Cinematographer’s Vision Mentee. Her dedication to her craft and ability to find beauty in both the ordinary and extraordinary continue to drive her passion for cinematography.
