He has worked with numerous high-profile talents like Christopher Reeve, James Nesbitt, Harriet Walter, Mary Beard, Ben Fogle, Julia Bradbury, Dr Chris van Tulleken and hundreds of top experts in history, archaeology, science and engineering.
Whatever the budget, a compelling story is at the heart of every film, be that following Christopher Reeve as he battled his paralysis or Mary Beard as she re-lived the last days of Pompeii to natural disaster survivor stories and revealing the lives of Ancient Egypt’s Pharaohs.
Ian has won numerous awards and nominations, including a Prime-Time Emmy nomination for his work with Christopher Reeve and a prestigious Panda award for the BBC2 series The Museum of Life - a 6-part series revealing the groundbreaking scientific research behind the scenes at London’s Natural History Museum.
He has made numerous ratings-winning films, including BBC2’s hit show Mary Beard’s Pompeii New Secrets Revealed, Immortal Egypt with Joann Fletcher and Netflix’s acclaimed series - The Royal House of Windsor.
He is currently Executive Producer on a major 3-part historical series for BBC2 & PBS in the US.
