Gillian worked as an editor for over 15 years, mainly on documentary and children's television before making a career change to work in visual effects. After gaining an MA in Visual Effects from the NFTS, she went on to work in VFX on projects including Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs and The French Dispatch and Tim Burton’s Dumbo. Most recently she has worked as senior in-house compositor and on set supervisor for HBO's TV series House of the Dragon season 1 and the upcoming season 2.
She is also an award-winning writer-director, her short film Dandelion is currently on the festival circuit. She is a member of BAFTA.
