Content Tabs
The NFTS Outreach programme is open to those aged 18 and over, with a range of career related activities to support our local schools and colleges.
We want to work with people already interested in a career in the industry, as well as those wanting to discover what opportunities are available to them. It is important to us that, through this programme, we are creating opportunities for groups traditionally under-represented in both Higher Education and the film, TV and games industry. This includes priorities based on:
Age | Disability | Gender | Ethnicity | Sexual orientation | Location in the UK | Socio-economic status | Care experience
Our national outreach programme is designed to increase opportunities and access for the next generation of film, TV and games creatives. We also support work which improves diversity and inclusion within the NFTS community.
The programmes we offer are continually evaluated to meet the following objectives:
- Raise aspirations of those interested in the film, TV and games industry
- Increase knowledge of careers, and their relevant pathways, within the industry
- Teach and develop skills relevant to the film, TV and games industry
- Enhance awareness of financial, mental health, disability and general student support available within the NFTS and wider industry
- Increase awareness of the NFTS
- Widen participation and diversity of engagement, applications, and intake at the NFTS
- Improve knowledge of the accessibility of Higher Education/Film School, as well as the inclusivity of the film, TV and games industry overall
