The Access NFTS: Inspire events are more hands-on, interaction sessions that offer a deeper insight and provide practical skills transferable to a career within the film, TV and games industry.
Event Details
The event is split into two parts.
Screenings | 10:00 - 12:30
Location: City of Portsmouth College | Experience: Entry Level - Intermediate | Duration: 2.5 Hours | Capacity: 100 | For ages 16 and over
Attendees will hear from NFTS students/graduates within a specific career area or role. For this event they are:
COMPOSING | DIRECTING
Through watching their work and hearing about their journey to where they are now, attendees will not only leave with knowledge and information, useful tips and advice from someone currently working in the industry, but hopefully also feel inspired to pursue a career in this industry themselves.
Workshops | 13:30 - 15:30
Location: City of Portsmouth College | Experience: Entry Level - Intermediate | Duration: 2 Hours | Capacity: 30 per session | For ages 16 and over
We will have 4 practical workshops available in the afternoon, These will be:
COMPOSING | DIRECTING | ANIMATION | MARKETING FOR FILM & TV
Each workshop will be 2 hour in length, and you can attend only one during the afternoon

Access NFTS is the Outreach and Inclusion programme from the National Film and Television School (NFTS). We want to work with people already interested in a career in the industry, as well as those wanting to discover what opportunities are available to them.
