Award Winning Colourist Stuart Fyvie Appointed NFTS Head of Colour Grading
The National Film and Television School is delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart Fyvie as the new Course Leader for Colour Grading and Finishing.
One of the UK’s most well-regarded Colourists, Stuart has an extensive list of credits across film and television including Emmy award winning documentary Escape from Kabul, the Red Riding Trilogy, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Made in Dagenham, Hunter, Being Blacker and recent HBO drama, Industry.
Previously, Stuart has worked at the BBC and led the grading team at Cinesite and Lipsync Post.
Stuart will play a crucial role in overseeing the progress of our current cohort of colour graders as they complete their training. Furthermore, he will be instrumental in shaping the development of a new specialist course in Colour Grading, set to launch in 2025.
Stuart said of his appointment; “I’m delighted to be joining the team at the NFTS. I have seen the development of digital grading from the beginning and am looking forward to developing the next generation of talented Colourists to emerge from the NFTS.”
Bringing a wealth of experience to the School, we are excited to see the valuable contributions Stuart will have in enhancing this essential department.
Recent alumni credits include Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, A24’s series Dreaming Whilst Black and work for leading brands including Gillette, Dior and Wagamama.
