The National Film and Television School supported by Rolex as Inaugural Masterclass Partner

The National Film and Television School (NFTS) is delighted to announce Rolex as the first-ever partner of its prestigious Masterclass programme.

As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering excellence and achievement, and to promoting the transfer of cinematic knowledge to the next generation, Rolex will support the School’s renowned Masterclass series for the next three years.

This evening (Wednesday, 5 February), the NFTS proudly launched its exciting new partnership with Rolex by hosting an in-person Masterclass with multi-award-winning producer, writer and director Andrew Haigh. Speaking to students in the 150-seat Oswald Morris cinema, Haigh explored his remarkable body of work, including his latest film, All of Us Strangers, a haunting and deeply personal tale starring Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal. This inspiring Masterclass marked an unforgettable start to the School’s collaboration with the iconic watchmaking brand.

The NFTS’s exclusive Masterclasses are world-renowned, welcoming hundreds of highly acclaimed and inspiring creatives from across the film, television and games spectrum for the benefit of students. Recent guests have included Francis Ford Coppola, David Fincher, Nia DaCosta, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Steve McQueen, Krysty Wilson-Cairns, Louis Theroux and the creative team behind the Oscar nominated Wicked. These intimate interactions provide invaluable advice for students and allow them to ask their own questions to some of the most significant figures in the entertainment world.

Rolex first supported the NFTS in June 2024 by supporting the School’s annual Fundraising Gala. The event saw industry guests raise a record-breaking sum of over half a million pounds, all of which went directly towards funding scholarships and bursaries to support emerging talent at the NFTS.

The National Film and Television School is honoured to be partnering with Rolex in 2025 to continue to support and inspire the next generation of film, television and games makers.
