NFTS Alumni Sweep 2026 BAFTA Television and BAFTA Television Craft Award Nominations
The nominations have been announced for the 2026 BAFTA Television and BAFTA Television Craft Awards, and the National Film and Television School is proud to see alumni names up for awards across the categories with many more working behind the scenes.
Brian Welsh, director and executive producer of What It Feels Like For A Girl has been nominated in the BAFTA Television Awards Limited Drama category and worked alongside a host of NFTS alumni behind the scenes including editor Fiona DeSouza, cinematographers Kate Reid, Neus Olle and Linda Wu and casting assistant Kerry Grainger.
Alumni also worked on nominated productions including A Real Bug’s Life, Richard Osman’s House of Games, A Thousand Blows, Last One Laughing, Adolescence and The Celebrity Traitors.
Highlights of the BAFTA Television Craft Awards include NFTS alumni nominated on all four productions in the Sound: Fiction category; Kyle Pickford (Adolescence), Danny Hambrook (Andor), Stuart Hilliker (Lockerbie: A Search for Truth) and Martin Jensen, Duncan Price and Conor Thompson (Slow Horses).
NFTS editors swept the Editing categories with Paul Hammacott nominated in Editing: Factual for his work on Louis Theroux: The Settlers and Úna Ní Dhonghaíle (Prisoner 951) and Fiona Brands (Slow Horses (Episode 6)) both nominated for Editing: Fiction.
Additional congratulations go to esteemed casting director and 2026 NFTS Fellow Shaheen Baig, nominated for two out of the four productions in the Scripted Casting category.
