This year’s LFF programme is brimming with selection of the world’s finest feature films, shorts, series, games and immersive experiences. Among the titles featured are Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, Lynne Ramsay’s Die, My Love and Aneil Karia’s Hamlet – all reflecting the breadth, creativity and ambition of filmmakers shaped by their NFTS experience.

Ahead of the Festival’s much anticipated Gala opening night, the NFTS hosted an event to launch its latest Graduate Impact Report on Tuesday 7th October. The morning was introduced by Ben Roberts, CEO of the BFI, who celebrated the exceptional contribution of NFTS graduates across this year’s programme. He praised their work as a powerful demonstration of the School’s ability to nurture world-class talent at every level of production.

NFTS graduates take centre stage in dozens of other high-profile titles premiering on the red carpet at LFF including Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, this year’s Opening Night Gala. Audiences attending the festival from 8th-19th October will enjoy work shaped by NFTS alumni who have made their mark across every strand of the Festival, from headline galas and official competition to documentaries, shorts, and debut features. Other notable titles include Bugonia, Jay Kelly, Frankenstein, H is for Hawk, Hamlet, Hedda, Bad Apples, My Father’s Shadow, Red Egg and Ginger, and Mad Bills to Pay.

Jon Wardle, NFTS Director said: “The remarkable presence of NFTS alumni at this year's LFF underscores the School’s commitment to nurturing creative excellence and providing students with the tools and opportunities to make a significant impact in the creative world.”

NFTS alumni continue to excel both above and below the line, as directors, producers, and cinematographers, and across essential crafts such as editing, sound, art direction, VFX, music, prosthetics, production management, casting, finance, colour grading, and more. Their combined expertise reinforces the NFTS’s reputation as a leading global hub for film and television craft training.

Many graduates hold senior creative and decision-making roles, shaping the storytelling, look, and sound of some of the Festival’s most anticipated films, a clear reflection of the NFTS’s enduring influence within the industry.

Congratulations to all NFTS graduates whose talent and dedication continue to define excellence at this year’s LFF and beyond!
