NFTS For You Returns on 3rd October - Secure Your Spot Now!

At the National Film and Television School, we believe the film, television and games industries should reflect the full diversity of the world around us, with people from all backgrounds seen, heard and represented across every area of the creative process.

On Saturday 3 October 2026, NFTS For You returns to our Beaconsfield campus for a dedicated access and outreach day for prospective students from Black and Asian backgrounds who are interested in exploring future career opportunities across film, television and games.

NFTS FOR YOU

Whether you already have a clear ambition or are still figuring out your next step, NFTS For You is an exciting opportunity to step inside the School, ask questions, find out more about training for the creative industries and discover where your talent could take you.

Running from 10am–5pm, this free event will bring together current NFTS students, graduates, staff and leading industry figures for a packed day of panels, screenings, conversations, tours and activities.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear first-hand from current students about their experiences at NFTS and from graduates who have gone on to build careers across the creative industries. A screening and Q&A will offer the chance to experience NFTS work on screen and hear more about the creative process behind it.

Throughout the day, attendees will also be able to explore the School’s facilities and meet teams from across NFTS to find out more about courses, entry requirements and the application process, as well as scholarships and bursaries, student support, wellbeing, employability and career development.

NFTS Director Jon Wardle will share his perspective on the importance of creating opportunities for the next generation of diverse creative talent, before an exclusive industry panel brings together leading figures from across film and television to discuss their own career journeys, opportunities within the creative industries and what they look for in emerging talent.

This year’s industry panel will feature Ade Rawcliffe, Chief People & Inclusion Officer at ITV; Anthony Andrews, Creative Director and Co-Founder of We Are Parable; Funmbi Ogunbanwo, Producer and CEO of Fatherland Productions and Anu Henriques, BBC Film Development Executive.

From understanding how to get started to finding out what skills employers and producers are looking for, NFTS For You is designed to give prospective students practical information, inspiration and the opportunity to ask the questions that matter to them.

You might already know that you want to direct, write, edit or produce. Perhaps your interests lie in cinematography, sound, animation or games. Or you may simply know that you want to work creatively but haven’t yet discovered where your skills could take you.

NFTS For You is a chance to explore what’s possible.
