Polly Cochrane, Former EVP of WarnerMedia UK and Ireland is Latest Addition to National Film And Television School’s Board Of Governors
The National Film and Television School is delighted to welcome Polly Cochrane, former Executive Vice President and Country Manager of WarnerMedia UK and Ireland, as the School’s newly appointed Board of Governors member.
A seasoned media and entertainment leader with over 35 years of experience working across film and television for industry behemoths including WarnerMedia (now Warner Bros. Discovery) Channel 4 and The Guardian Media Group, the NFTS is excited to welcome yet another renowned member to the board with a wealth of knowledge to help guide the School as it continues to grow.
Currently a partner, advisor and coach at executive coaching company The Alexander Partnership, Polly’s extensive experience in marketing and communications will prove invaluable to the NFTS as it looks to deliver a step-change around awareness of the School globally. Having spent 13 years at WarnerMedia, Polly pioneered the company’s first centralised Marketing and Communications department and helmed the revival of the Harry Potter franchise as CMO for the global franchise development team.
Her deep understanding of the broad media landscape will allow the School to expand its reach further, ensuring a diverse range of future screen talent have access to the training opportunities the NFTS has to offer.

The NFTS Board of Governors is comprised of senior figures from film, television, games and higher education. Polly will sit alongside EA’s Chief Commercial Officer Scott Forrest, BBC’s Chief Content Officer Charlotte Moore, Channel 4’s Head of Drama Caroline Hollick and Prime Video/Amazon Studios’ Head of UK and Europe Creative EDI Miranda Wayland among a raft of other high-profile members.
