The National Film and Television School (NFTS) is thrilled to unveil an exciting new collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Access, the talent development division for under-represented creatives, which will provide four scholarships to train on the NFTS Production Management Diploma.

The new scholarships, fully funded by Warner Bros. Discovery Access, will provide training to individuals though a highly practical one-year course designed to fill essential production management roles within film and television.

Beginning with intakes in September 2024 and 2025, Warner Bros. Discovery Access will generously fund two students per year for the course in an effort to help break down barriers and provide broader access to the industry. Additionally, Warner Bros. Discovery Access will provide an extra £5,000 in financial support to each recipient, aiding with living costs and further enhancing the accessibility of this transformative educational experience.

The diploma offers an intensive year of collaboration with students in other specialisms across the School to make several exciting cross-genre projects that mirror real-world productions. Working on location and on-site at the NFTS’s industry-standard facilities in Beaconsfield, students gain experience working behind the scenes with a full production budget provided on a variety of scripted and unscripted projects including fiction, documentary, animation and science and natural history.

Helena Hunt graduated from the NFTS Production Management course in February 2024 and was awarded by Sargent-Disc for outstanding work during her time on the course.

“The course showed me that I have the right skills to thrive in collaborative environments with strong communication and reasoning skills. From making a documentary in New York to a children's TV show as well as numerous other incredible projects that I had the pleasure of working on, the course allowed me to hone in on some very important expertise which I have carried forward whilst working in the TV industry!”
