Digital Content 4.0: Developing & Pitching

Channel 4 have partnered with Media Cymru to support media innovation in Wales and to provide an opportunity for independent production companies in Wales to pitch ideas to be considered for the Channel 4.0 Creator Clash Strand.

If your pitch is successful, you will be awarded funding (£10k - £20k) to create a digital pilot which may then be considered for a series commission by Channel 4.0.

In advance of the closing date, 4Skills and NFTS Cymru Wales are providing a 2 day training opportunity for those wishing to pitch their ideas. This opportunity will be offered to those interested in pitching their idea and will also involve input from the Channel 4.0 team to guide the participants on Channel 4.0 expectations.

The Training Will Cover:

•    What is Channel 4.0?
•    How to win on YouTube
•    Who is the audience and how do we reach them?
•    What are we looking for? (The brief)
•    How to develop your idea and adapt it for a digital format
•    Theory - How Hollywood act structures work on YouTube
•    How to pitch YouTube-first ideas
•    Practical pitching exercise with feedback

Who should apply:
•    This course is predominantly for those wishing to apply for the Channel 4.0 and 4Skills Creator Clash Strand project and have an interest in developing content for 4.0.
•    You must be available on the training days, Thurs 18 and Fri 19 Sept.
•    You must be aged 18+ and based in Wales.
•    There are a maximum of 20 places available
