Login to hear award-winning director Corin Hardy (Gangs of London, Whistle, The Nun), discussing how the director works closely with the Hair and Makeup department, and sharing insights into the complexities of prosthetics and makeup special effects on a film set.
Renowned for his award-winning work on TV series Gangs of London, feature films Whistle, The Nun and The Hallow as well as music videos for artists including The Prodigy, Corin began creating monsters, animations and Super 8 horror films at a young age and hasn't stopped; working across stop-motion animation, music videos, TV and film, frequently mixing live-action, special FX, puppetry and animation with intense performance.
His debut feature The Hallow, which he co-wrote and directed, was described by Guillermo del Toro as one of his favourite horror films of that year. The next feature he directed, The Nun, went on to become the highest-grossing film of the Conjuring franchise and is the 9th highest-grossing horror movie of all time. His most recent work is feature film Whistle, which had its premiere at Fantastic Fest and he was an Executive Producer as well as director on TV series Gangs of London.
