The Script Supervisor’s role is an exciting, varied and demanding job requiring many skills for being part of the film and TV production team, working closely with directors and producers, interacting with performers, and providing accurate information on set.

Delivered in the NFTS Leeds Virtual Classroom accessed by Zoom. 



This course introduces you to the role of the Script Supervisor and the basic tasks you will be required to perform from first day of prep to final day of principal photography and sometimes beyond.

 

Everything expected of a Script Supervisor during the shoot including (but not limited to!) continuity, liaising with directors and actors, set etiquette, daily paperwork, eyelines, coverage of a scene. 

There will also be some practical work to help demonstrate the various skills required.

It will be presented by Jane Houston, an experienced Script Supervisor who is very keen to pass on some of her knowledge to the next generation.  Jane was trained at ITV Granada but has been freelance for many years, her credits include Fleabag, Killing Eve, Enola Holmes, Giri/Haji, Shameless.
