Production Title: And in Its Place, Another
Anca Radu is a Romanian writer-director based in London. Before venturing into the world of fiction, she directed a number of observational short documentaries that were screened and awarded at renowned festivals across the country. As her dedication to the craft extended beyond filmmaking, she served as a Film Workshop Coordinator for Youth at Transylvania International Film Festival and was one of the five jury members at One World Romania - The International Documentary Festival and Human Rights.
In her narrative work, Anca seeks to evoke a conflicting interplay of empathy and repulsion. Her passion lies in telling visceral stories that are uncomfortably human. Anca is currently in post-production on her next short film (an exploration of the diverging aspirations of two siblings who immigrated to London at different stages of their lives), as well as developing two other screenplays.
