Carys entered producing from her role as Industry & Talent Development Officer for Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Scottish Film Talent Network, where she discovered a passion for nurturing talent and developing stories.

In 2020 she teamed up with Manchester based Garry Paton to progress the Scottish arm of Finite Productions. Her recent producing credits include short films A90 (dir. Olivia J. Middleton – World Premiere, Aesthetica Short Film Festival) and You Land (dir. Debora Maité – World Premiere, Torino Film Festival), both commissioned by Screen Scotland and BFI:NETWORK. She is currently in pre-production with Big Shop (dir. Debora Maité), a short documentary that intimately explores the topic of shop-lifting through a blend of interview, animation and abstract re-construction. She is also in post-production with Isle of Man Arts Council funded short film, Millie (dir. Peter Marsden), which Finite co-produced together with Shadowhouse Films.

Finite’s slate includes a range of debut features; a female led neo-western with Debora Maité and noir-thriller Crest from writer/director Ryushi Lindsay. She continues to grow new connections with emerging talent through her short film slate, which includes CHAGRIN, a deep character study about care and grief from Kirsty Mclean, and Dead Pigeon, a surreal comedy that explores corporate greed, the climate crisis and mental health, written by Zoë Bullock.
