Cat is a writer, director and singer from the Isle of Mull currently working across theatre and film. She's been creating cabaret shows for a decade as Cat Loud, and more recently made work with Vanishing Point, developed new writing through The Tron’s LabWeek, and founded new performance and artist development initiative _ and friends.

In film, she's a BAFTA Connect member, a Short Circuit Convergence screenwriter, was part of the Glasgow Film Festival New Talent Mentorship programme in 2021, represented Scotland at the CineSud Director's Village filmmakers residency in the Netherlands, and was commissioned to make her first short film through Screen Scotland and GMAC Film's Little Pictures scheme in 2021.

She is thrilled to be directing Lana Pheutan’s short film Lady MacLean, championing a vibrant and unexpected story about the rural island communities we both know and love.
