Ciara Flint is a South African-born filmmaker based in Edinburgh, with a primary focus on documentary storytelling. Her award-winning short films have screened at festivals including Sheffield Doc/Fest, Glasgow Short Film Festival and Edinburgh International Film Festival. She has received nominations for the Royal Television Society Awards, and been shortlisted for the Young Scottish Filmmaker Prize. Her self-directed, self-shot and self-edited film Harrier received the award for Best Documentary at St. Andrews Film Festival and Doc.London. She most recently edited the feature documentary The Divided Island, which received a UK theatrical release and received the award for best documentary at South London Film Festival. With a background in real-life storytelling and a focus on human perseverance, she’s now stepping into fiction for the first time, and is excited to be part of the Sean Connery Talent Lab to explore this.
