Born and raised in Italy, Giulia is a versatile cinematographer who bridges the worlds of traditional and virtual storytelling thanks to her extensive experience in both live action and virtual cinematography.
After developing a solid foundation in photography, Giulia’s artistic journey evolved naturally from still imagery to moving pictures. She pursued her passion for filmmaking at the Edinburgh College of Art, where she honed her craft by working on a wide variety of films and genres. These formative years helped her developing a distinctive visual style that focuses on meticulously crafted frames and vibrant lighting. After graduation, she continued to pursue her passion for cinematography collaborating on independent short film projects, further refining her artistic voice.
In 2020, Giulia joined industry titan Rockstar Games as a Cinematic Artist, where she spent five years working her way up to a leadership position. Her experience at Rockstar ranges from directing motion capture shoots, to virtual cameras, to designing complex lighting setups. Her dual proficiency in both live-action and digital environments offers a multi-faceted perspective to the film industry.
