Jasper ‘Sekhar’ Banerjee is a multi-award-winning British-Indian Editor and participant in the 2026 NFTS Sean Connery Talent Lab. A former lead producer and director at the Belfast-based documentary production company Mooncrest Films; he now works as an assistant editor on studio films including Tron: Ares and the upcoming Billion Dollar Spy starring Russell Crowe. Here, he developed a strong foundation in high-level editorial workflows, balancing both creative and logistical demands of post-production.
Alongside assisting, he continues to work as an editor, wrapping on his first feature, P-Rock The Doc, in 2024. He now approaches narrative with the same documentary instinct: interrogating structure to uncover the emotional truth at a story’s core and in 2026 picture locked on Sweet Nothings, his second feature film as editor and first drama. His work is driven by a fascination with how we tell stories, and how structure shapes feeling - guiding and shaping the flow of energy for an audience. His films have screened at Docs Ireland, The BFI Southbank, QFT, and Royal Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra Soundworks.
