Lara Delmage is a Glasgow-based writer and filmmaker whose work is inspired by the tension between the beautiful and the unsettling, working with film, poetry, and theatre. She was selected as one of Glasgow Film Festival’s New Talent Mentees (2024/5) with mentorship by Prano Bailey-Bond in support of her debut short film, Sissy Puss, which screened at the Academy Award-qualifying film festival, Ann Arbor, as well as Belfast International Film Festival, Sapphic Cinema Club and Splintr Festival. Her second short, Pang, was made through the NFTS X BBC Film Sean Connery Talent Lab (2025/6) and will be released in summer 2026. She’s currently in script development for several film projects, exploring queerness, surrealism and the space in-between the natural and unnatural.
