Lewis Raeburn is a Scottish cinematographer based in Edinburgh. His work spans fiction, documentary, and music videos, combining naturalistic imagery with a heightened visual style.
He studied Film at Edinburgh College of Art, developing a body of work ranging from intimate drama to adventure documentaries shot across Scotland. During this time, he also worked as a freelance camera operator, travelling across Europe and the Middle East on a range of projects.
After graduating, he moved into music video production, shooting work for artists across Universal Music Group, Island Records, and Decca Records.
Alongside commercial and music projects, he has continued to work in documentary filmmaking focused on community, identity, and contemporary Scottish life.
Most recently, he was the cinematographer on the short film Community Theatre, funded by the Scottish Documentary Institute’s Bridging the Gap scheme. The film has since screened across the UK and the United States.
He is currently part of the Sean Connery Talent Lab as a cinematographer, developing new narrative projects and collaborations.
