Matt Mead (they/he) has shot all around the UK and internationally in Asia, Africa and the US, from studio soundstages to Masai villages, gene sequencing laboratories to a tug boat on the Thames.
They began their career as an assistant on indie features and music videos in 2011, before stepping up to DP working primarily in documentary. Recent highlights include The Backstreet (2024) premiering at Sheffield Doc Fest and Bender Defenders (2024) soon to be broadcast in Canada and stream internationally. Side projects as an artist include collaborations with choreographer Rob Hesp and work exhibiting across the UK, in Finland, and in China.
