Naomi Walmsley

Naomi Walmsley profile picture

Naomi Walmsley is a producer and script editor whose route into producing has had a few stops along the way. Starting in factual television on programmes including Front Row Late and Britain's Most Historic Towns, her move into scripted work was with BBC Drama as a script researcher on Father Brown and Shakespeare & Hathaway. As a producer, she delivered the pilot for the BAFTA-winning Float before producing audio readings for BBC Sounds and Radio 4. Alongside this, there has been a quick stop living in Seoul, script editing and dramaturgical work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and script reading for Portal Arts and Screen Scotland.

Naomi is currently a development producer at Bonnie & Braw Cartuns, and will soon be braving the heat of Annecy, to bring new shows into market. She is editing and producing a ten-part horror-satire series being piloted as a webcomic and developing an audio-digital comedy series about polyamory. Her work consistently gravitates towards intimate stories with absurdist humour, emotional honesty, and a willingness to take formal risks.

Naomi is very happy to be part of the group of talented creatives on this year's Sean Connery Talent Lab. She is very excited about bringing a brilliant Scottish short to a global audience.
