Production Title: Blood Red
Sam Moody is a filmmaker from Bradford who began making films at 15, inspired by British television drama, Scott Derrickson, and the YouTube series Marble Hornets. While studying film, he volunteered with charities, local radio, and independent filmmakers, gaining experience as an actor, editor, and composer.
In 2022 he shot his first drama short, Minutes of Fame, in Bradford, starring Emmanuel Ale with music by PitStop Productions’ Thomas Thorpe. He later wrote and directed the cosmic horror short Slept On (2024) with Production Haus, followed by the gothic romance Blood Red (2025), produced in collaboration with Prime Video and the National Film and Television School.
Moody’s work blends kitchen-sink realism with genre storytelling, grounding fantastical narratives in everyday life by exploring characters’ vulnerabilities and human flaws.
