Sara Schirazi is a Glasgow-based Scouse-Iranian-German Director with a background in factual television. Her work has received multiple nominations and awards, including a BAFTA nomination for ITV’s The Assembly.
Sara began her directing career at Media Co-op, developing community-led short films that continue to shape her storytelling approach. She has since Series Directed mid-form digital content for Apple TV and BBC Scotland, shadow directed children’s and returning drama series, and led publicly funded projects using immersive technologies.
In her free time Sara is a UEFA qualified football coach and club chairperson. Sara’s work uses humour and the surreal to explore deeper social and emotional themes.
