Sourath Behan is a Pakistani film editor and filmmaker based in Edinburgh, with experience across feature films, short films, documentaries, television commercials, music videos, and digital media. She is one of the few women editors from Pakistan, with a strong belief in the power of visual storytelling to move audiences, challenge norms, and spark change.
Her work includes Moor (2015), Pakistan’s submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film; Sitara: Let Girls Dream, Pakistan’s first Netflix Original; and The Invisible Line, which premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
A recent graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Kino Eyes - The European Film Master, Sourath specialised in editing while training across Portugal, Estonia, and Scotland. She is now part of the NFTS Sean Connery Talent Lab 2026-2027 cohort as an editor.
Through her work, she is committed to telling meaningful stories, reclaiming narratives, and amplifying voices that are too often left unheard.
