The role of Camera Trainee is the first step on the ladder within the Camera Department and with the current boom in production in the UK, it’s a role that is much in demand.
Over a series of interactive, practical sessions, you will learn all the information you need to apply for a role as a Camera Trainee, with plenty of opportunities to handle the equipment a Trainee is expected to manage. You’ll also gain a full understanding of the responsibilities of a Trainee and the camera team as a whole.

The Camera Trainee position and other roles within the camera department;
What you’d be expected to do on day 1 of camera prep through to the end of prep week;
What you would be expected to do from day 1 of principle photography;

This is course is aimed at anyone who is looking to secure for their first job in the camera department. It is suitable for those who have little to no experience of the practical workings of the camera team but a basic level of technical competency is expected.
