Join us for an online session which will explore developing and sustaining a successful and rewarding career in motion graphics and titles design.
Designer, and head of NFTS Motion Graphics and Titles course, Hugo Hansell will be in conversation with motion designers, Louis Walters and Liv Hayman, both NFTS graduates. Together they’ll be discussing the skills, attributes and pathways for forging a successful creative career.
Hugo Hansell has designed and created brand identities for film and TV companies and organisations including BBC Film, Women in Film and TV, Focus Features, the BFI, Protagonist Pictures and the British Board of Film Classification, as well as numerous film design projects. He is the course leader for the NFTS Motion Graphics and Titles Diploma.
Louis Walters is an artist and designer with over 10 years’ experience in the live music industry. He has worked on a variety of creative commercial and art projects including: a live audio visual show for Techno pioneers Cybotron premiered at the London Barbican; an installation for British Airways to showcase their new fleet of aircraft; and has toured worldwide with musicians like DJ David Guetta as lead video designer and operator. His background in art and photography developed an intrinsic love of experimenting with different techniques and mediums, both digital and physical, to explore and achieve creative concepts and aesthetics.
Liv Hayman is a motion designer and works for brand design company DixonBaxi. Her style and innovative designs always try to pursue a sense of story and narrative within her work. She studied Graphic Communication and Design at Leeds University, before attending the NFTS.
