Nina Rice is an award-winning Production Sound Mixer. She won an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Sound on Barbie, and a Royal Television Society award for her work on TV series This is Going to Hurt and she was nominated for an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Sound on Saltburn. Her acclaimed work also includes episodes of esteemed TV series The Crown and feature film Persuasion. Forthcoming films she has worked on include Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly and Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
Nina will be in conversation with Production Sound Mixer and NFTS course leader for the Location Sound Recording for Film and Television MA, Fraser Barber. With over twenty years’ experience working on high profile TV series, Fraser has been nominated for BAFTAs for Best Sound on documentary series Full Circle with Michael Palin, and drama series Taboo and A Christmas Carol and won the 2024 Royal Television Society award for Best Sound for the 2023 TV adaptation of Great Expectations starring Olivia Colman.
